The Origin Story

From pool service
to specialist authority.

Advanced Leak Detection started in 1990 as Pristine Pool Service — a small Florida's East Coast operation. The original business handled everything: weekly cleaning, chemistry, equipment repair, and the occasional leak call.

But the leak calls kept getting more complicated. Customers would come to us after two or three other pool companies had failed to find the leak. Some jobs required draining the pool. Others required jackhammering a deck. Most of them required demolition that didn't feel necessary — and watching that happen, year after year, planted the seed for what Advanced would eventually become.

By the mid-90s we'd specialized entirely. We were building our own pressure-isolation equipment. We'd started experimenting with underwater crack injection — repairs performed by a diver on a pool that was still full of water. The technique worked, and as word spread among East Coast pool owners and the commercial properties that kept finding us, we stopped offering pool service altogether.

Today, Advanced Leak Detection East Coast is a State Certified Pool Contractor (CPC#1461444) serving Florida's East Coast — Volusia, Flagler, and Brevard counties. From the Halifax area and Daytona Beach down through Palm Coast and Merritt Island to Melbourne and Palm Bay, we're the specialist leak-detection crew homeowners, resorts, and property managers call when a pool or spa is losing water. The same owner-operator still runs the company. The same underwater repair techniques still differentiate us. And the same commitment to finding the leak without destroying the pool still defines every job we take.

1990
Founded as Pristine Pool Service

A small residential pool service company starts in Florida's East Coast. Leak calls are a small percentage of the business — but the ones that come in are the ones other companies have already failed to solve.

1993
Pivot toward leak specialization

After three years of handling increasingly complex leak diagnostics, we begin dedicating crews to leak work exclusively. Regular pool service phases out; the company rebrands as Advanced Leak Detection.

1997
Underwater repair breakthrough

We develop the first version of our underwater crack-injection process — a technique that allows most pool shell repairs to happen without draining the pool. This becomes our signature capability and remains the core of our commercial work today.

2003
First theme-park commercial work

A marquee Orlando attraction operator brings us in to handle a water feature leak during park operations. Successful completion without public visibility leads to a long-running commercial relationship — still confidential, still active today.

2010
Deck-Saver™ IPR patent granted

Years of R&D culminate in a US Patent (7,717,137 B2) for our Internal Pipe Repair technique — a zero-excavation method for sealing underground plumbing leaks from inside the pipe. We remain the only leak detection company in the world offering this technology.

2012
East Coast dispatch expands

Regional dispatch numbers open for the Halifax area, Palm Coast corridor, and Space Coast. Same crew base, same warranties, same underwater technology — just closer to more East Coast pools.

100,000 repairs milestone

Advanced surpasses 100,000 quality repairs across our Florida service footprint. Multi-year warranties remain in writing, remain honored, and remain the industry-leading specification no competitor will match.

Advanced Leak Detection East Coast becomes the dedicated leak-detection specialist for Volusia, Flagler, and Brevard counties. Three and a half decades of refined underwater repair technology, concentrated on Florida's East Coast — the Halifax area, Palm Coast corridor, and Space Coast are one phone call away.
